Spray directly into the spot or stain until saturated. Let stand for 5 minutes or up to a week depending on the severity of the stain. For fabrics that are prone to color change, do not let stand longer than 5 minutes.
It will also clean most stains on fiberglass, teak, and sails. I love this stuff. OxiClean does not ruin clothes when used properly. Like most “oxygen bleaches” it is simply a sodium percarbonate compound which, when dissolved in water, breaks down into sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).

Oxygen bleach Oxygen bleach (like OxiClean) is an alternative to chlorine bleach, and it's safe for many fabrics. You can use it to remove stains on colors, as well as whites. It doesn't contain scary chemicals and it won't ruin most fabrics—though you should avoid using it on silk or leather.
Now, you can use regular liquid chlorine bleach to clean away mold and mildew, but I'd suggest using oxygen bleach powder instead. Oxygen bleach costs a bit more, but if you spill any on your clothing, carpeting or upholstery, it won't bleach out the color.
The effectiveness and affordability of white vinegar makes it an excellent choice for use on just about any surface. It is also effective to use to prevent mold from returning to problem areas. Simply spray the problem area lightly every few days and wipe.

Hard Water
Hard water may also cause orange or brown stains in fixtures that look like rust. These stains are caused by iron content in the hard water; the iron rusts, which is why the color looks rusty.
Hard water contains high levels of minerals, such as calcium and magnesium. Hard water dries on grout or tile can leave behind white mineral deposits. These deposits can eventually turn black if they are not cleaned regularly. To prevent this problem, you will need to clean your bathroom regularly.
