Clean the stovetop and oven.
Because it's made to cut grease, it's no surprise that Dawn is perfect for cleaning stovetops and ovens. You know the drill: Spray Powerwash, allow to sit, and scrub or wipe away.
When using Dawn Powerwash, you should avoid cleaning porous surfaces such as marble and other soft natural stones or untreated wood. It is also best to keep Dawn Powerwash away from painted surfaces, too. Always make sure to test new cleaning products on inconspicuous areas of surfaces first.
Spraying the entire glass top with vinegar and wiping it down with a microfiber cloth in between deep cleans can keep it looking brand-new. If you're feeling like maybe you need something a bit stronger (like glass cleaner), make sure that you use a product specifically designed for cleaning glass-top stoves.
Weekly Washing
Once the stovetop is cool, use white vinegar to spray the surface. Next, generously sprinkle baking soda over the vinegar. Place a clean towel, soaked in hot water and wrung out, over the vinegar/baking soda mix. Let this mixture work its magic for 10 to 15 minutes.
Dawn Powerwash is almost the same as regular Dawn, but it also has rubbing alcohol. This helps it remove more stains. It also spray in a foam, so it's easy to dispense and small amount.
To make the solution is simple and easy on the wallet! Pour equal parts of vinegar and Dawn into a spray bottle. Gently shake, then spray liberally onto the surface to be cleaned. I have found the best results is when I use it to clean chrome shower and sink fixtures.

Using Coarse Sponges or Steel Wool
Abrasive cleaners or scouring tools (including steel wool) can lead to tiny scratches or even deep pits on your stovetop. Stick to the soft side of the sponge, or even better, purchase cooktop pads.
Your glass-top stove can be well-protected by using a heat diffuser. Between the pan and the glass stove, a diffuser's flawlessly flat and smooth bottom forms a barrier that will keep the glass cooktop from becoming scratched. Put the diffuser on top of your cast iron cookware.
Use a microfiber cloth to dry and buff the stove top glass to keep it gleaming. Avoid scrubbing brushing, scouring pads, Magic Erasers, or other abrasive cleaning equipment, because these can scratch the glass. Stick with a microfiber cloth or a soft sponge.
Bar Keeper's Friend cleaner works on a variety of surfaces but really performs well on glass. It works on any smooth stovetop surface, including glass and ceramic. You can also apply it to other kitchen fixtures, such as porcelain sinks, brass, stainless steel, and chrome.
